No browning during grilling

During grilling in the oven, the food is not browned enough or the grill duration is too long.

The oven has not been pre-heated or has been pre-heated for too long, extending the grill duration significantly. Once the oven has reached the set temperature, the grill element switches off and only switches on again if the temperature in the oven compartment drops significantly.

Pre-heat the oven for 5 minutes then place the food inside.

The food has been placed on the incorrect shelf level.

Use the most suitable shelf level for the food and operating mode as specified in the cooking chart. You can find the cooking chart in the “Notes on use” booklet or in the operating instructions.
