Hob
Burner does not ignite
The gas hob burner does not ignite.
The burner is wet, soiled or clogged.
Please ensure that the burner is clean and dry.
If necessary, clean the burner parts and the area around the igniter on the base of the burner in accordance with the operating instructions. Pay particular attention to the openings/holes in the burner cap.
The gas shut-off valve is closed.
Open the gas shut-off valve fully.
The hob power supply has been interrupted.
Check whether the appliance is plugged in.
The electronic module has switched to a “safe state” (depending on model).
Please disconnect the hob from the mains power supply for 1 minute, either by unplugging it or by turning off the relevant circuit breaker in the circuit breaker box.
Then switch the appliance back on again.
Gas hobs with a propane gas connection: the gas cylinder is empty.
Change the gas cylinder. New gas cylinders are available from any standard DIY store.
After changing the gas cylinder, check both the cylinder and the gas connections for leaks.
