Remove the item causing an obstruction and switch the dishwasher on again.

Automatic door opening/closing feature defective
A fault has occurred with the dishwasher’s automatic door opening/closing feature.
The dishwasher is not standing straight.
Check the alignment of the dishwasher.
Check and adjust the feet if necessary.
There is a technical fault.
Open the door manually and switch the dishwasher off and then back on again.
If the fault persists, please contact Miele Customer Service or book a repair appointment online.
