Water under coffee machine

There is water under the coffee machine.

The surface that the water container sits on is soiled.

This means that the water container sits a little too high or at an angle on its surface inside the coffee machine. This will prevent the water container dispensing valve from attaching correctly and water can leak out.

Make sure that the dispensing valve, the underside of the water container and the surface under the water container are clean. Otherwise the water container will not sit correctly.

Carefully clean and dry the surface the water container sits on, particularly the recesses.

Limescale or other deposits in the water have formed in and around the dispensing valve.

This means that the dispensing valve cannot close properly and may leak. The water container empties slowly.

Clean the water container, proceeding as follows:

Press on the mark on the water container lid on the right-hand side.
Pull the water container up by the lid to remove it.
Remove the lid from the water container.
Clean the lid by hand only using warm water and a little washing-up liquid.
Clean and dry the outside of the dispensing valve under the water container.
Clean the water container in the dishwasher or by hand using warm water and a little washing-up liquid.
Dry the water container.
Reassemble the water container.
