The coffee machine automatically prompts you to empty the grounds container every 48 or 72 hours.
This is a preventive measure. The display message prevents coffee grounds from being left in the coffee machine.
Coffee grounds can cause mould to develop. There will probably also be some water in the grounds container left over from the rinsing process.
If the grounds container is emptied when the coffee machine is switched off, the coffee machine may not register the process.
Empty the grounds container when the coffee machine is switched on.
Clean the grounds container daily.
Clean the grounds container at the latest when Empty grounds container appears on the coffee machine’s display.
