This behaviour is normal if the coffee machine has previously been switched off for a prolonged period of time. The electronic module needs a few seconds to ramp up from standby mode to operating status.
You can increase the speed at which the appliance switches from standby mode to its operating status when it is switched on by activating the QuickTouch function under Settings:
Settings > Display > QuickTouch > On.
When QuickTouch is activated, the electronic modules remain switched on in standby mode and the coffee machine will reach its operating status more quickly.
